Roger Ravenbeard - Scourge of the Oceans | Script £30 | songs £10
It’s bad enough being an eighteenth century pirate without having your mother turn up unexpectedly, then having to hide the fact that you distress people for a living. Then there’s the recently captured princess who isn’t all she appears to be.And Partial Jack Spatula is out for revenge after you took his eye during your most recent encounter. Well, it’s only fair, isn’t it? Will Roger track down the treasure or will he end up having his libber thrown to the sheiks? Join Roger, Sam and a cast chock-full of salty sea-dogs, cannibal warrior women and Melville, the amazing sarcastic parrot, in this unusual high-seas adventure.
A Recent Review:I am recovering from the full-on stress (24-7!) of producing a play whilst still appearing to be teaching a broad curriculum which has in no way suffered from a concentration on rehearsals! I am delighted to say that the recovery period has been all the more durable due to the amazing, positive feedback we have had. 'Roger Ravenbeard, Scourge of the Oceans', was a tremendous success! It was undoubtedly an ambitious production for a Year 4 group but we pulled it off! The humour throughout the play kept the audience on the edge of their seats. Thank-you so much for a fantastic script! Yvonne Pavey - St Bede's School, East Sussex |
