The Nice Things People Say
I staged Roger Ravenbeard last summer with 58 Year 6 children – they loved it! The script was delivered very quickly, with some useful ideas, and the songs on CD were easy to learn. The comments from their parents were fantastic – a great way for a Year 6 group to leave on a high!

We've just bought Roger Ravenbeard from you for the Year 6 pupils to perform at end of the school year. We also had Murder at Hotel Crumhorn for the previous year and we had lots of positive feedback from the teachers and parents alike. One of the speech and language teachers who visits a lot of schools said that it was, "One of the most enjoyable concerts that she has seen".
Angela O'Donnell, Mynydd Isa Primary School, Flintshire
Everything went really well. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Rebecca Riding Hood and their parents, friends etc were very complimentary. As the joint director I enjoyed the end result but as you can imagine there was a fair bit of hysteria in the weeks leading up to the performance. But that's all part of the fun!! Please keep up the good work as we are always looking for new shows to perform.

We produced Murder at the Hotel Crumhorn for our end of term spring event with a few additional bits and bobs thrown in by staff such as a monster mash dance and 'hex factor' competition! We used the backing tracks but changed the words to fit our school; it was a great success and as we are an all boys school the monster theme went down very well! Our mob were dressed as gangsters and our Mr Crumhorn was a very good Basil Fawlty type owner! I was very pleased with the speed of delivery of the CD and as I could download the script it made my life a lot easier! Many thanks.

I used the Rebecca Riding Hood script for my after school club and we had all ages of primary school children. They thoroughly enjoyed the play and loved the humour as did the audience. The songs were catchy and easy to learn and children were heard singing them down the corridors!

I can thoroughly recommend Ravenbeard Productions; we used the superb play Roger Ravenbeard, last Christmas with our Year 5 group. Our cast of nearly 40 had tremendous fun both during rehearsals and the two performances. It was very simple to stage and costume. We made more emphasis on the 'Parrot' character telling all he was a Parrot of the Caribbean. This was hugely enjoyed by the audiences particularly as it was very topical with the second Pirates of the Caribbean having been recently released. Really recommend this very funny play, cleverly written and wonderful entertainment for all ages.
Also used The Poor Old Kindly Lovely Toy Maker for our Year 4 another lovely little play with a very poignant message for us all. Again this was hugely enjoyed by our audiences.

Ravenbeard productions have produced cleverly written and in total empathy with the wide range of abilities we teach. These junior productions cope admirably with large casts without having to write in numerous parts. They are definitely 5* and a must for Primary schools.

Kilburn Junior School near Derby did three performances of Rebecca Riding Hood in July to great applause. The children loved the ideas and the humour and it was a great success. All 164 children joined in. We have 5 classes so each class did a song and then the finale.
Class 1 started dressed as Fairytale heroes and heroines. Y5/6 girls were half Rebeccas and half Violets in appropriate colours to sing the duet. Y5/6 boys did the wolf song. Class 4 did the friends song dressed as odd firends; Brazil and England footballers, cats and dogs, cops and robbers...Class 2 made a super job of the building song and used the extra music to dance to. We then had all 164 children on stage to sing the finale song. The whole thing fitted together with some super acting.
Thanks for trusting us with the copy and please write at least 7 songs in each production specially for us. Here's ready to try the next one.
Gail Ridge, Kilburn Junior School, Derbyshire.
Many thanks for the Script and CD for Rebecca Riding Hood. We have just listened to some of the songs and like the way they are catchy and will appeal to our pupils. We enjoy the humour and can almost see our pupils in the different parts.

We performed Rebecca Riding Hood at our school last year.  The play was a huge success.  The script was not complicated and easy for the children to follow.  The music was fun and easy to learn.  A great play for the Primary age group.

My school performed 'A Job For Mr Bunny' as our Easter production.  The children who performed it loved the script and the adults in the audience appreciated the humour!
The script came within a week of ordering and also had some lovely songs to accompany the play if needed.
The performance was a success and we look forward to doing another one of Michael's plays soon.

Just to let you know how much our Year 7 enjoyed performing Roger Ravenbeard in July. Great that there were so many parts and that it was something the boys loved too.
We added dancers to 'Sleep Well'- a beautiful song which my own children make me sing to them every night.
